WHere is a simplified take on a beverage featured on a new drinks list. This is a party-sized pre-mixed that's loaded with tastes of a holiday season, which makes it excellent for your celebration. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or to make more rounds of the drink.

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
To prepare the Cordial: Combine every ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, remove from the burner and let it to cool fully. Transfer into an sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for around a month.
To make Batch Mix: Pour all the liquid ingredients into one large bottle, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it best through muslin, making it fully clarified.
For serving: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir carefully for about 60 seconds to chill. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries adding the final touch using a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
